Welcome to the official
website of Galway Golf Club!
Galway Golf Club has long been recognised as possessing
one of the finest courses in
the country. Indeed, in the year 2002, it once again played
host to the Bulmers sponsored All-Ireland Cups and Shields
Finals.
This excellent parkland course
is centrally located in Salthill, just three miles from
Galway City Centre. It
has a magnificent new clubhouse (with full catering facilities)
which boasts panoramic views of Galway Bay and the Burren
from its elevated site. The Club has a proud and distinguished
history dating back to its inception in 1895. During this
period, the club has collected many honours and it's members
have represented the Club at the highest levels.
This website will provide general
information about Galway Golf Club, brief details on some
of its achievements, a section devoted to the history
of the club, as well as a course map and hole-by-hole
course guide. For members, our "Club
News" and "Results/Fixtures"
pages should be of specific interest. Visitors are directed
to our "Enquiries
Page" where details of Green Fees, Tee-Times available,
etc, can be accessed. The website has also hosts a handy
location map.
